Rocketry Blanket: now in summer-friendly cotton

Remember that a winter project can often be converted to a summer project simply by switching fibers and colorways. Karen is knitting the ever-popular Rocketry baby blanket in Rowan All Seasons Cotton, and the result is both light and easily washable. It's great for a baby gift, but also works fine as a lap robe. And it's portable-- you only work on one square at a time until the end when you pick up and knit the edging. Ask her to show it to you next time you're in the shop!

  1. Very nice. I like the colors of the cotton over the wool.

FYI: I went looking for the pattern and made my way to Dream in Color. They have you listed as a reseller of their yarn, but no link to your website.

  2. Hi John,

I agree, the summer colors are great, and in general with blankets and throws, I like something that's easily laundered.

I've notice that Dream in Color's website could use some regular care and feeding. I'll send them an email asking them to add the link. They may have been one of our first yarn suppliers, and we may have been added to their list before our own website was up (not sure).

    Thanks for pointing it out!
