Save the date

Sunday, September 13 is the date for the Hope Street Fall Festival. We'll have a booth outside the shop where kids can try their hands at making Ojo de Dios or "God's Eyes" as they are called in English. Originating with the Huichol peoples of northwestern Mexico, the Ojo de Dios is created by wrapping yarn around crossed sticks. The four points represent the elemental processes of earth, fire, air, and water.

We'll have more information about the Fall Festival in the coming weeks. There will certainly be knitting activities going on inside the store, and some special discounts for our valued customers, as well as music, food and entertainment up and down the street!
