Go Red for Women

Go Red for Women is a social initiative sponsored by the American Heart Association with the goal of raising awareness about the risks of heart disease women face and aims to help women change their behaviors to ensure improved heart and cardiovascular health.

Go Red is active year-round, but ramps up during the month of February to really draw attention to this issue. February 2011 will be no different. One of the fun traditions of Go Red for Women is national Wear Red for Women Day, this year on February 4. Go Red asks everyone to wear something red that day to draw attention to the Go Red movement. February 4 is only two weeks away!

That leaves you plenty of time to knit up a red scarf, cowl, mitts, hat, or whatever to wear that day!
Between today (January 21) and February 1 we'll be offering a 15% discount on red yarns to help you get ready for National Wear Red day!
