Another Fun Knit-a-Long: Mara

On Tuesday mornings in May Helen will be hosting a free knit-a-long of Madelinetosh's Mara.  Mara is a simple garter stitch triangle shawl that is worked from the top down, ending with a pleated boarder. The original Mara was knit with 3 skeins of Tosh Worsted.

You will need 675 yards of any light worsted weight yarn, a US 7 circular needle and stitch markers. This shawl can be made with many different yarns (Manos Silk Blend, Classy by Dream in Color and Ultra Alpaca have been used)….be creative, maybe use some stash yarn or stop by and pick out some
new yarn. Download the free pattern from Ravelry.com.

Come spend a fun, relaxing hour with fellow knitters and create a shawl for a someone special (yourself included!).

When: Tuesday mornings May 10, 17, 24 and 31 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Who: For everyone who can knit and purl.

How: Call the store at (401) 270-8220 to register ahead of time to reserve your seat.

And don't forget that on Tuesday evenings in May Becky is hosting the knit-a-long for Whippoorwill
