Book Party!

Last night Fresh Purls celebrated its own authoress, Helen, whose pattern for a cabled tank top appears in Nashua Knits Easy Breezy summer pattern booklet. We celebrated with a spectacular cake from Jim Kennedy at Confections in Fall River (you have to check out the photos on his website!).

Helen has designed (and sold) many knitting patterns, but this is the first one to appear in a manufacturer's booklet, and we're so proud of the attention she's getting for her design work! Many supporters and fans came out to cheer for her achievement, and insure that no cake or champagne went to waste.
Some of our younger knitters were there, proving that our craft (obsession?) will be safe in the hands of the next generation.

Pam was there, and she showed how she is re-knitting her lost pattern and it's coming out better than ever. All in all, it was very much a night to celebrate.
