More Christmas in July...oops August

Here are a couple of additional projects we'll be featuring at our Christmas in July...oops August event.

A quick-to-knit but very pretty project is the lace neckwarmer designed by Barbara and executed in Berroco Palace merino/silk blend. One ball of Palace is enough to knit 3 or 4 rounds of the lace pattern, depending on how tall you want it to be. Delete one of the vertical lace panels, and it's just the right size to use as an earwarming headband.

If you're looking for a more ambitious project, there is Helen's reversible cable shawl, shown knit from four skeins of Rowan Cocoon. This ultra-soft and snuggly shawl is wider in the center, tapering to two scarf-like ends that tie or wrap. It also can be used as a combination headwrap/scarf. Either way, there is no "right side" to the seed-stitch-and-cable design. Never tried reversible cables? Here's your chance!

Remember, you have to have a ticket to attend the event. Tickets are $5 and include a $5 discount on a purchase. Don't delay, August 3 is only 2 weeks away!
