Socks-citement!

We have some great sock books coming into the shop (watch our twitter updates for announcement of the books' arrival). One of them is Joy of Sox which features a couple of patterns by friend-of-the-shop designer Gina House, aka Sleepy Eyes. Gina will be having a trunk show at the shop in December. For a preview, see some of her patterns on her blog here and on ravelry here (requires logon).

Cat Bordhi has just released the second in her series called "New Pathways for Sock Knitters." The book is titled Personal Footprints for Insouciant Sock Knitters. Cat is showing a significantly different sock construction where you knit the entire foot before opening up the ankle separately (plus her method for customizing every sock for a perfect fit). She recorded the video below as an introduction to her ideas. As with all Cat's videos, it's charming.

As further inspiration, we have some terrific new sock yarns for you to drool over. One fantastic option is this new Trekking Hand Art by Zitron. We're getting new yarns in every week, in all weights. Stop in and take a look!

BTW, your Amanda Hat looks great in that color/yarn!
