Calling all teen knitters

Tonight (Monday, February 22) is the inaugural meeting of our Teen Knit Therapy group. We are inviting boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 17 who knit or crochet to drop in and join us from 3 to 5 this afternoon. Becky will be on hand to help with any technical problems. Best of all, it's FREE.

This makes a total of 3 drop-in social knitting opportunities at the shop, and a fourth one just down the street:

  • Our original Knit Therapy night is every Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:30. Still going strong after almost 3 years, with Sherry at the helm.

  • New Teen Knit Therapy after school on Mondays!

  • Come to the weekly drop-in class on Fridays from noon - 1:00 and get help with your project from Helen.

  • And finally, there is a new knitting circle at the Rochambeau branch of the Providence Public Library on Saturdays from noon - 2:00. Technical assistance is provided by Ellen.

All these drop-in groups are completely FREE.

Every once in a while, knitting group meetings are canceled due to holidays or weather. Keep an eye on our twitter feed for the latest status, if any, especially when the snow is falling!

Sometimes we have special activities held in association with a knitting group: last Wednesday was "Spa Therapy" night when friend-of-the-shop Donna visited us with cooling eye pads, and luscious hand creams and lip treatments. Mmmmmmm.
