Sunday, October 3, is the Slater Mill Fall Fiber Event from 12:00 to 5:00. It promises to be a great time! The day's schedule includes activities for children and families; demonstrations of spinning, weaving, knitting, felting; book signings; shopping opportunities; and a chance to relax and visit one of Rhode Island's historic sites on the banks of the Blackstone River.
Gina House, a great friend of Fresh Purls, will be on hand to sell Dreamscape, her self-published pattern collection. If you didn't have a chance to meet Gina last December when she was at the shop with her trunk show, make sure you don't miss her this time!
And of course, Fresh Purls will be there! Stop by and say hello to Karen. She'll be there with a tempting selection of yarns, patterns, and project ideas. The folks over at Slater Mill invited us to be a part of the event and we were thrilled to accept.
