The Bucket List

Friend-of-the-shop Melissa had only 3 New Year's resolutions for 2009, and one of them was to learn to knit socks. She signed up for Next Steps Knitting class and behold! Her first completed sock, beautifully knitted in Lorna's Laces yarn, using Helen's FAST Knock Your Socks Off knitting pattern. And she's not stopping. Immediately after kitchenering the toe on sock #1, she was casting on sock #2.

Can one of Fresh Purl's classes help you step up your game? We have another Next Steps Workshop starting April 30. Or, if you're not a crocheter already, why not try the Begin to Crochet workshop? Expert crocheter Patty is offering a one-session beginner's crochet class during which you'll be taught to make the hat at right (flower optional). This hat project is so quick to make that you may have it done by the end of the class, and along the way you'll learn how to cast on, do a single crochet stitch, increase and decrease. The Beginning Crochet workshop will be held on June 7, and again on June 14 (1:00-3:00). The cost is $25.

Take the Melissa challenge and expand your skills. You won't regret it.
