Our two active designers on staff,
Helen &
Amanda, continue to make inroads into the knit publishing market.
Amanda has another free pattern on Berroco's site. Announced in the most recent issue of
Knitbits, it's a scarf called "Legume" knitted in Berroco's
Seduce. It uses the same pattern stitch as her
Logos sweater, also designed for Berroco, which is published in Booklet
#289 (the booklet devoted to patterns for their
Lustra yarn).
The pattern is free, and we carry the yarn, so go ahead and add this beauty to your list of Fall projects!

Meanwhile,
Helen has been busy whipping up several new designs. You may remember that her cabled tank top appeared in one of Nashua Handknit's summer books (and was spotted and praised by Vogue Knitting!); well Nashua asked her to come up with something to show off their
Paradise line of yarns, and were so pleased with her flared vest that it's coming out in their Fall
Paradise book. We'll let you know via twitter when the book comes into the shop.
In even bigger news, the masterminds behind the highly successful
One Skein Wonders books are preparing the fourth entry in the series, and
Helen has had not one, but TWO patterns accepted by the editors. A publishing date has not yet been announced -- we'll let you know when we hear anything.
Meanwhile, both
Helen and
Amanda have contributed patterns to tonight's
Christmas in July...oops August event. We hope to see you there!
