What are you doing this weekend?

Slater Mill in Pawtucket is holding a fabulous weekend knitting event this Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Jan 22-24). Classes are being offered featuring exceptionally talented teachers including our own Helen Bingham! The fascinating knitted tea pots pictured above are the work of free-form knitter Adrienne Sloane, who will be teaching on Sunday. Other instructors are Mary Jane Mucklestone, Cirilia Rose, Cheryl Burke and Rose Ann Hunter.

Besides classes there will be a wine and cheese reception on Friday night with a trunk show and presentation by Mary Jane Mucklestone (you can buy your $10 ticket at the door, includes one free drink); and a fun (FREE!) "Pajama Party" on Saturday night. You don't really need to wear your pajamas -- stop by to knit and socialize. Bring a skein of yarn from your stash and participate in the Yankee Swap, and buy a raffle ticket for a chance at some great knitting merchandise. Snacks and drinks will be available for sale.

You can register for classes online here. See the complete flyer (in PDF) here. For up-to-the-minute information, contact Bernadette Vaughan at Slater Mill: 725-8638 X105 (voice), 722-3040 (fax), or email bernadette (at) slatermill (dot) org.

We hope to see you there!
